Well more strange goings on today
the scallywag Pirate is still drifting around, claims his name is Capt'n D lol
I think I might follow him tomorrow and see if he leads me to where his ship is based
(well if the rain stays off in the day like the weather said we have plans to go out for the day for Amy's birthday and hopefully visit a nice old ship with this suspisious Capt'n D)

Other news : when I was giving the outside crows their supper tonight I heard a cat meowing, it sounded a bit like Bo one of our cats that vanished a couple of months ago but not quite like him, it was answering me but hiding in the overgrown weeds, I went closer and kept calling it, then it came out of the weeds a bit nervously and came over to say hello, I've never seen this cat before, never see any other cats here really, its obviously not a stray because it is really friendly, but it is totally skin and bones, even on its head you can feel its skull sharply so its obviously not eaten for a good while
I was able to pick it up and bring it in the house, It recognises the sound of a cat food tin being opened and was soon eating as it was so starving
Its a lovely tabby with some white on its face and paws, either its got lost or maybe even dumped, some people decide if they cant keep their cat any more will just take it somewhere and leave it rather than spend time rehoming it DX
It seems to be an adult, but I think its still young
Anyway I'll keep it here and tomorrow I'll put some "Found" adverts in the local shops and stuff, if no owner comes forwards we will likely just keep him, as long as he gets on with the other cats, they are not happy at all seeing a strange cat, but thats to be expected, they will soon get used to him if nobody claims him
Here is a quick pic I took of him, he was settling down for a sleep in Amy's room after a good feed
poor thing, his head looks too big for his body with being so skinny
- Mood:
cold

Do cats get those number-tattoos in their ears, over where you live? All our cats have them, so that if they're ever lost, the number can be read at the vet's and the owner can be looked up. Does this kitty have a tattoo?
One of our boys was probably dumped in our neighborhood. He was found in our neighbors' yard, just sitting there. The neighbor's kids just handed him over to me, because they knew that I try to rescue kitties. He had an indentation in his fur, all around the neck, which to me indicated that he used to have a collar. However, he didn't have a tattoo. I was going to take him to the Humane Society, but he totally CLAIMED me! And so, he stayed with us. Now he's my little "Momma's-Boy".
Mauricee-Poo!
You know, I think the critters in your neighborhood probably have a circular that goes around, letting all who are needy know where you live! That's what seems to happen to me with kitties around here. They all seem to know that I am the sucker who will try to save them. ^___~
no sign that he has worn a collar, I'm pretty sure it is a him, his boy bits are not too obvious, maybe he is neutered, but it could be because he is so emaciated, I dont want to poke around on the poor thing when he is still settling in
He is just so skinny, you can even see his frame through his fur, I'd dred to think how bad he looks under it, he seems fine apart from that, eyes are a little watery with the 3rd eyelid showing a little, but its prob because he is so run down
should be fine once he gets some weight back on
Sometimes it does seem like creatures in need of help just find me, even at my last house I opened the back door and under the stairs leading up to the garden a pheasant was huddled there, must have been hit by a car with its injuries, what a coincidence it just happened to go to my doorstep when it needed nursed back to health XD
Your Mauricee-Poo looks gorgeous, such lovely eyes, cats do like to adopt people they want to live with XD
Poor wee boy, but at least he's in good hands now.
I think he is at least a few years old, I was able to have a little look at his teeth and they have a bit of a tartar build up so he is not that young
Its strange him being so skinny, maybe he has been shut in somewhere or maybe he was a house cat before so doesnt know how to hunt
And poor kitty! He is lucky to have found you, though. And just in time if he was so thin and starving.
Fatten him up and he'll be adorable!!!
